Professor Jonathan J. Webster is Head of the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics at the City University of Hong Kong. He is also the Managing Editor of the International Linguistics Association's journal WORD, and the editor of the forthcoming Journal of World Languages (2014).

Early Childhood Language is far more than we thought

My reason for purchasing this as a professional reference was completely fulfilled by this book. Halliday's research was very thorough and his explanations and conclusions on the development of language are fascinating and provide much insight into early childhood learning.
