Professor Jonathan J. Webster is Head of the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics at the City University of Hong Kong. He is also the Managing Editor of the International Linguistics Association's journal WORD, and the editor of the forthcoming Journal of World Languages (2014).

Outstanding explanation of SFL

I love books that can expound theories in a theoretical way. Since SFL is what they call an "applicable theory" mostly what you end up with are bunches of examples that add up to explanations about the theory. This books, however, does a great job at explanation--which is what I was looking for. I will be looking for more books with Webster's name on them.
